Personal loan doesn’t show on credit report
Main Post:
I have a 5 year personal loan (2 yr remaining) that doesn’t and has never shown on my credit report. I’ve had another personal loan before that did show. Is that typical for certain lenders to do if the loan is in good standing?
Top Comment: Credit reporting is not a mandatory thing.

Does PPP Loan for Sole Proprietor Appear on Credit Report? Bluevine?
Main Post:
If you are a Sole Proprietor and get a PPP loan, does the loan show up on your personal credit report with any lender or specifically with Bluevine?

Car loan just randomly dropped off my report

My parents convinced me not to get any credit cards as a young adult so that I'd avoid debt. I eventually learned this was a big mistake because I had no credit at all. I was able to get a car loan because I was a first time buyer. I was super excited because I could finally build my credit. I bought a brand new honda and was given a 6 year loan. Everything was great for the first 3 years. I was paying my car payment on time and my credit score was slowly rising. I am now half way through my loan; I still owe about $16,000 on the car. Three months ago I went to check my credit score and my car loan had completely disappeared. It now says I have no open loans on my Transunion or my Equifax report. There is no record of previous payments; my payment history says "none". I called Honda Financial and they say theyre reporting the payments. Anyone ever heard of this or know what could possibly have happened? I really need that credit history. Really hoping someone can help. Thanks.
ETI: I am using Credit Karma. My score has not changed at all since the loan disappeared.

Check your credit reports directly from the individual bureaus.
Do I need to report a $12,000 loan made to family?
Main Post:
Back in September, I lent my sister $12,000 to buy a car. She agreed to pay back around $14.5k over four and a half years. (I had read that I needed to charge at least some interest for it not to be considered a gift tax.)
Where my confusion lies is if I need to report this on my tax returns. Googling around said that I needed to do so if it was more than $10,000, but also that I don't need to if I've made less than $600 on interest (so far, she's paid back about $1,400 of that $14,500). I have to be mistaken on one of the two, so I'd appreciate some guidance.
Top Comment: If you are actually receiving interest on the loan, that is taxable income and should be reported. There is no minimum for reporting income on your return if you are otherwise filing one.
USAA Car Loan Written Off and Dropped off 1 Report - What to do?
Main Post:
Left the military and missed payments / had car repo'd in 2017 and paid to redeem the car. It's just been sitting in my driveway since then and I haven't made any payments since getting the car back in 2017. They haven't bothered coming to get the car again and nobody has contacted me about it.
Car fell off my Experian this month and will fall off my Transunion and Equifax next month. Car is just sitting and want to get rid of it. Ideally, I'd pay the remaining balance to get title and get rid of the car but I'm not sure if it would "reset the clock" or what would happen? What are my options going forward?

Pay it off and junk it?
GONE from credit report!
Main Post:
I was part of the October forgiveness. I’d heard that it takes anywhere from 3 months to 6 months for the student loans to zero out in credit reports. I just checked today (for other reasons) and my students loans are already gone from all 3 reporting agencies! I couldn’t believe it!! 🙌🏾 I hope that this happens for everyone!!
Top Comment: Yay! Congrats! My count updated to over 120 in mid-Nov. I hope mine goes that fast too. I’m anxious for it to go away before Trump takes office.
